China's Great Wall Station in Antarctica is the first scientific research station in Antarctica established by China. China has set up a permanent scientific investigation station in Antarctica for the purpose of scientific investigation in Antarctica. It is located in Fildes Peninsula, west of King George Island in South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. The Great Wall Station is 2km long from north to South and 1.26km wide from east to west, covering an area of 2.52km2. Since its establishment, the station has been expanded four times, with 25 buildings, including 7 main buildings (office building, dormitory building, medical and sports building, meteorological building, communication building, scientific research building) and some other scientific and logistics buildings. It can accommodate 60 people in summer and about 20 people in winter.
