%X It was completed in five years from May 1972 to July 1976 in the calendar. In the process of formulating legends and compiling specific maps, reference was made to the vast majority of vegetation survey data (including maps and textual materials) in China after 1949, and more than ten mapping seminars were held with the participation of relevant researchers both inside and outside the institute. During the deployment period after the completion of the mapping work, many new survey materials were added, especially vegetation data in the western region of Tibet
